This is my very simple and informal blog about my weight lose journey. I am a 17 year old college student who has been trying to lose weight for the last year and a half. I love to eat and I know how hard it is for some of us to lose that extra weight. I'm not here to tell people how to live their lives or which diet they should go on. I am here to be a weight loss inspiration and be inspired by other in the same journey as me. I know you’re out there! :)

Week one is done! Summer bathing suits here I come!
Okay, so it's been a week since I last weighed in and I am
VERY glad to say that I have lost a pound and a half! Looks like my hard work
is paying off. I worked out 6 times this week, cardio every two days and weight
lifting/abs workouts in between. My boyfriend is also doing great, eating
healthy and doing his Insanity Workout video every night. I'm so proud of him,
and of myself. Remember you can do whatever you put your mind to!

The beginning
So this is the first blog post I write. I'm still VERY new
at this so I'm terribly sorry if it's not that good.
I'll start by telling you all why I'm doing this and who are my greatest inspirations. I've struggled with my weight since I was a kid, always being laughed at for my size-when I really wasn't that big. I'd go home crying because of how cruel the other kids were. It didn't help that my parents had moved me from the West Island (D.D.O. Quebec) to a small town closed to the Ontario boarder named Rigaud. When I turned 12 I joined my high school's swim team and started to swim twice a week. I was doing good, much thinner that I saw myself.
In my third year of high school- a.k.a. secondary 3 here in Quebec, 9th grade everywhere else- I dropped out of the swim team to take up piano lessons. During that year I went from weighing 140 pounds to 180 pounds. I started really bad eating habits; I'd eat approximately one large poutine and have three or more bags of chips a week. I started having breathing problems and health problems.
The following year, I rejoined the swim team, hoping to get back in shape; I started feeling much better but still hadn't changed my eating habits. By December of 2010, I weighed 222 pounds and was a size 18, I was only 15 years old.
That's when I decided to change my life. I lied and signed up for Weight Watchers Online with my mother. I lost 40 pounds before my prom which was June 21st of 2012. Sadly I had to stop Weight Watchers Online because I could no longer afford it, so I decided to do the older WW system. Although I didn't lose nearly as much weight on it as I hoped it did keep me somewhat in shape.
Then I got to college. I go to John Abbott College in St-Anne de Bellevue, Quebec. I'm in an art program and I love it, only problem is that I have VERY LITTLE self-control and end up buying junk food which you can find everywhere in the school.
The WW old system started to fail, I was no longer working out and my old eating habits had come back.
I'm now 189.4 pounds and I have decided to stop WW until I can afford-next august- to pay for the online one. I have started counting calories and I have an amazing boyfriend and mother who are supporting me in my journey. My boyfriend is doing it with me, I keep him on track food wise, making sure he registers all of his foods in the Calorie counter, and he makes sure I work out a minimum of 3 times a week.

So that's all for now, I'll try to post weekly, hopefully.
